Does More Sweat Mean More Fat Burn?
By Coach Samiksha ·

You finish a workout drenched and think, “That must have burned loads of fat.” It may have been a useful workout. But the sweat itself does not prove it.
Sweat is your body’s cooling system
When your body gets hot, it produces sweat. As that moisture evaporates, it helps cool you. Heat, humidity, clothing and individual sweat rates can all change how much you perspire.
A lower scale reading straight after a sweaty session usually reflects fluid loss. Rehydrating may bring that weight back—and that is exactly what your body needs.
Measure what matters
- Track strength, stamina and consistency.
- Drink water before, during and after exercise as needed.
- Do not overdress or avoid water to chase a lower number.
- Build meals and movement you can repeat.
